Cycle crime victims can apply for a new bike from the Wandsworth Bike Project. Young people are taught bicycle repair and maintenance skills as part of a community sentence, and then fix up bikes which are given to victims of bike crime.
The council’s Youth Offending Team runs the Wandsworth Bike Project from the Training and Resource Centre in Alma Road.
As part of a community sentence, young people are taught bicycle repair and maintenance skills and fix up bikes which are then given to victims of bike crime. The bikes are donated by the public and by the police.
The scheme cannot guarantee you will be provided with a suitable bike straight away, but it does try to match people to bikes as soon as possible.
If you have been the victim of bike crime and would like to apply for a new bike email Rebecca Lynn at firstname.lastname@example.org or call her on 020 8871 5571.
