The council is asking local people how money raised from a charge on developers should be spent.  The Wandsworth Local Fund (WLF) can be spent on neighbourhood projects.

Take the survey at www.wandsworth.gov.uk/WLF. Alternatively you can request a paper copy of the form by ringing (020) 8871 6084.

Neighbourhood projects it could be used to fund include:

Improving roads, pavements and parks, including installing safety improvements like new lighting.

  • New secure cycle parking
  • Better public transport.
  • New bus shelters and countdown information.
  • Building new schools or expanding existing ones

But it cannot be used for projects which require on-going spending.

The council is consulting local residents, neighbourhood groups and associations, school pupils and students, local businesses and those who work in the local area.

Once the results are in they will be shared with ward councillors, local voluntary and community organisations, council departments, Transport for London and other agencies. They will be invited to help shape proposals that would meet your priorities.

These proposals will then be assessed for cost and feasibility and late this year local people will be asked which of the proposals they would like the WLF to support.

Take the survey at www.wandsworth.gov.uk/WLF. Alternatively you can request a paper copy of the form by ringing (020) 8871 6084.

You have until the end of March 2014 to tell the council your views.

Local NHS Services – Have your say…6:30pm on Monday 10th February 2014

Give your views on health.

Local people are invited to have their say on the health services provided by St George’s Hospital and by the South West London and St George’s Mental Health NHS Trust.

To ensure the views of patients and the local community are properly heard, the inspectors will be holding a listening event at 6.30pm on Monday, February 10 at Earlsfield Library in Magdalen Road.

People are being encouraged to attend the listening event to find out more about the inspection process, to tell the team about their experiences of care and to say where they would like to see improvements made in the future.

The CQC is asking people who would like to attend the listening event at Earlsfield Library to contact it beforehand either by telephone, email, letter or online.

• Online:    www.cqc.org.uk/public/listening-events

• By email:  cqcthenextphase@cqc.org.uk

• By letter:  CQC, Citygate, Gallowgate, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE1 4PA

• By phone:  03000 61 61 61

This will help them plan for the event, but people are free to turn up on the evening even if they haven’t registered.

Anyone who is unable to attend the listening event but wishes to give their views to the inspection team can do this by email to cqcthenextphase@cqc.org.uk.
