After 3 1/2 years of service as our Co-Ordinator for the Schubert Road Neighbourhood Watch we are saying goodbye to Louise McMeekin. Although she will still be a resident on the road she will be now be concentrating on her business commitments. Our New Co-Ordinator is Mrs Anne Towner (who has been a long term resident and an active member of the Neighbourhood Watch since it’s inception in 2011). We are sure that Anne will build on the work already done and thank her for taking on this role on all our behalf. If any residents would like to help the Schubert Road Neighbourhood Watch please do get in touch.

Whilst delivering the Street Party Invitations and Reminders recently, we found that quite a few flat residents were buzzing us in (opening the communal front door from their Entryphone System) without checking who we were. Please don’t do that as you are making it very easy for people to break into your neighbours homes. Any genuine visitor won’t mind waiting until you come to the communal front door nor will they mind giving their credentials. Don’t forget this is a Cold Calling Zone so no one should be asking you to buy something on your doorstep – if they do ask you to buy something – take their details (and give them to neighbourhood watch) and tell them This is a No Cold Calling Zone – fines of up to £5,000 can be made on those not adhering to this.
Please also remember to check you have shut ALL car windows and secured you car – we found a number of windows left open recently.
Following a recent break in at a property on Oakhill Road. Please ensure you shut AND lock all side gates. With this warm weather please ensure you also shut and lock all windows and doors even if you’re only popping down to the shops for a few minutes…it only takes a minute for people to enter and steal belongings.
New Bicycle Racks have been installed this morning on the corner of Schubert Road and Oakhill Road for us all to use…Well Done and Many Thanks to Wandsworth Council for acting on the wishes of so many residents on our Road…
Another successful Friday Gardening Club on Schubert Road…Thank you to Liz Vrondissis who came to help (all the way from Greece!)…well done everyone!
